The Essence 

This retreat is designed to de-stress and allow you to indulge in your yoga practice in a relaxed, peaceful environment. 

This is a perfect opportunity to recharge and rest the mind and body. Your teacher will be guiding you through 2 yoga classes a day; Morning at 8am and afternoon at 4.30pm. You will be led by an experienced yoga teacher that is keen to keep sharing their knowledge of yoga through teaching asana classes, meditation and philosophy.

If you’re looking to take your yoga practice a little more serious or just want to give it a good go, this is the perfect retreat for you. With two yoga classes that are guaranteed to leave you feeling revived and food to feed the soul, you will leave Casa Ananda feeling fulfilled in both body and mind.

A Bit about Josh!

After leaving my first yoga class  at the age of 16 and stepping into the car I knew that there was something special and life changing about to happen. 

 A few months later I found myself signing up for a yoga teacher training, excited to begin my deeper enquiry into yoga.

With a strong desire to learn more about yoga I followed the advice of my first teacher Conrad Paul and went to India. I studied Vedanta, Pranayama, Asana, Meditation and Bhakti  yoga over the course of 4 weeks and they were the most life changing weeks so far in my life.  I  am now back in my home town after living for many months in the Sivananda centres in both London and France and am excited to serve the local community using the practice and teachings of yoga.

Staying at Casa Ananda...

The retreat house is hosted in a wonderful luxury villa that is located on mainland Spain,  situated at the top of the Montgo Mountain, Denia. The villa is built in Spanish Finca style with rustic tiled floors, it has a real ‘homes and garden’ look with the comfort of a homely feel. Set in a quiet, prestigious residential area with spectacular panoramic sea views. The garden is peaceful and secluded surrounded by the mountain stillness and greenery. The yoga classes tend to be on the lower platform which has lovely views of the Montgo, often being able to see the sun rise over the sea.

Accommodation

At Casa Ananda we have a maximum occupancy of 10 guests. All guests will need to share a twin room so if you can come with a friend it’s ideal, otherwise we will choose a room for you with someone of the same sex.  A single supplement is an option at an extra cost of £250. All bedrooms have an en suite shower room and are fully air-conditioned or heated in the winter months.  The house has indoor and outdoor eating areas and lounges as well as a large amount of outdoor garden space with fantastic views. 

FLIGHTS AND TRANSFERS: To take advantage of the group transfers from and to the airport (£100 PP return) please let us know your flight details so that we can arrange for you, to benefit from a direct transfer (not shared with other locations) you would need to land in Alicante airport at around 4.30pm as our driver will leave at around 5pm to take you directly to the retreat house. On the return journey our driver will leave the house at around 1.30pm therefore getting to Alicante Airport at around 2.45pm latest, our guests usually book a flight for around 5pm.

Your teacher will be delivering classes that are accessible to all abilities. a chance to slow down and create space for stillness while nourishing joints, ligaments, tendons and fascia.

Activities

Throughout your stay there will also be a chance to participate in a number of activities;

·       Nature walks  through the scenic national park of mount Denia with fantastic views.

·      Visit to the Old historic town of Denia

·      Meditation

All activities are optional

Diet

Whilst staying at Casa Ananda all meals are vegetarian, based on ayurvedic and yogic cooking principles.  All food is freshly prepared and is organic and locally sourced. The two daily meals are spaced apart so that we allow the digestive system to rest and allowing it to function efficiently through regular eating times, preserving a maximum amount of energy. 

Prepare yourself...

We advise you to bring loose clothing for the yoga classes. tracksuit bottoms and shorts, t-shirts  and maybe a jumper and socks, allowing comfortable relaxation. We advise bringing swim shorts if you wish to swim in the pool or sea. 

All indoor towels, linen and shower soap are supplied, you just a beach towel and your tooth brush. 

Yoga Mats and cushions are also supplied but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

You can choose to pay the remaining balance in increments of £50 and £100 at checkout.
Full payment is due 90 days prior to the date of travel.

“I was lucky enough to attend the August retreat with The Yoga Factory. From start to finish it was easy to book and both Angela and Josh, kept me updated with what i needed to do, i.e transfer and what to bring. Angela and Josh were both there to greet us and there were lovely little touches like yoga journals / welcome pack, when we arrived. The villa was lovely and clean and perfect for relaxing and the yoga itself. The views were stunning and location was great. I was a little nervous as i was going on my own, and a little worried about sharing a room, but I was paired really well with another lady.

You could tailor the trip to your needs and do as much or a little as you wanted without feeling obliged. The morning walks to the national park were a great way to wake up the senses and start the day.

Josh's yoga classes in the morning were great, informative, and tailored to everyone’s needs. I felt like i had improved after a few days. Because the retreat was for maximum 8 people you could ask questions and be adjusted more than in an everyday class. When Josh teaches he is so enthusiastic, patient and calming. It is evident that he loves what he does. The added touches like the offer of massage or reiki, added to the experience.

I am normally a keen meat eater, so I was a little anxious again about the food. But I can say it was all delicious and so fresh. I ate everything and am looking forward to trying out a few recipes at home.

Sarah took the Yin class of an afternoon, and whilst I would not normally do a Yin class, I enjoyed the relaxation element and the slow pace. Sarah is also a great teacher, keen to make sure you are as comfortable as can be and also you can see she loves what she does.

Angela, was great host, cook, and made you feel at home. I would recommend this retreat to newbies to yoga and also people wanting to expand their yoga. It really was a little piece of heaven”.
