Mindfulness Day Retreat

There’s no better time to bring the essential practice of mindfulness to our lives right now. 

Transitioning into autumn and winter, our mind and body often take a moment to catch up with what our environment has to offer us. So, we have put a one-day yoga retreat together for you to help tune in and connect your mind and body to the present moment. 

Transition through the seasons with ease, enjoy yourself and take in all the gloriousness of what’s around you. 

Mindfulness is a vital and very easy way of bringing your attention into the here and now. So often as we approach winter our mind goes off thinking of a million things to do, a million places to be and stress and anxiety start to set in. By bringing your attention back to being aware of where you are right now you can reduce negative feelings such as overwhelming stress, anxiety, and depression and start to promote mental and physical well-being. You will find mental clarity, your immune system will get a boost and your capacity for kindness and compassion for yourself and others will hit the roof. 

Your day will be full to the brim of activities designed to upgrade your mindfulness levels to the max. The retreat will include meditation, a full-length mindful vinyasa yoga class with Natalie Claxton to start to learn how we can use the breath to connect with the present moment as well as a beautiful yin yoga class with Emily Morris created to release deep seated tensions and stresses, and you will learn the mindful art of Canang Sari, which is the Balinese practice of creating an offering out of leaves and flowers. We have brought in a local artist, Lesley Morris to teach you this easy to learn craft using seasonal elements of nature that will bring you into the moment, open your creative channels, relax your nervous system, release stress and most of all have fun. Of course, no retreat would be complete without some nourishing food, which will be freshly prepared by awesome chef Charlotte of Oat Kitchen.

We have mats for you to use and some blankets and cushions to make you extra comfy. So all that is needed is you!

This day is ALL about YOU. Even if you’ve never done any of the activities before, this is your day to try something new and give yourself a little time out to get connected, refreshed and revitalized and ready for the seasons to come.
