Twist & fly with Fiona Shaw
This workshop will start off with Surya Namaskar - Sun Salutations with Mantra. Mantras are a combination of syllables, sounds, or phrases, which can be chanted or sung. When you chant the mantra for each pose while doing the Sun Salutation it extends the benefits, it has subtle and penetrating effect on the mind and body and adds a medative aspect to your practice.
You will have fun learning arm balances using mindfulness, understanding the actions and movements to overcome fear and lift off with ease. The benefits of yoga arm balances include:- strengthen the arm muscles, wrists, upper back and abdominal muscles, toning the stomach and arm muscles while finding inner peace.
To ground your body, improve your digestive system, detox, reduce back pain and maintain normal spinal rotation we will explore yoga twists with awareness.
The workshop will finish with a relaxing aromatherapy savasana.
