As a yoga and pilates teacher, I work every day with the body and mind, helping people relax and unwind, heal and reconnect with themselves.
I was originally looking to be able to offer a head massage at the end of my yoga sessions to help people to deeply relax, but it turned into something more and I qualified as an Indian Head Massage therapist.
Since completing my course, I have worked with many different people. Both men and women looking to find a way to let go of stress and tension but also people who are suffering from medical conditions such as scoliosis, hayfever or sinus congestion or headaches and migraines.
I approach each person as an individual to offer a unique, tailor made treatment so as you can address those aches and pains on a deep level and feel truly amazing.
Description of Indian Head Massage:
Indian Head Massage isn't just a head massage, it's so much more.
Starting in a comfortable and supportive chair, I work into the muscles of the upper back, arms and the shoulders, especially good if you suffer from poor posture from sitting at a desk all day. Time is spent on gently massaging the muscles of the neck and the occipital, where tension is common and which often manifests into headaches and migraines. I then use relaxing techniques to massage the scalp which clear the mind and aid circulation helping healthy hair growth.
The final part of the massage is spent on a warmed massage bed surrounded by comforting blankets where I massage the face. From forehead to chin, each part of your face will recieve circulation boosting, revitalizing attention as well as detoxing the lymphatic glands aiding the reduction of congestion and hayfever symptoms. The bonus points of this are reduced lines and wrinkles, improved skin tone and a beautiful glow.
When we suffer with any form of stress, illness or condition no matter if it's temporary or permanent we feel just not quite ourselves. Indian Head Massage can help you start to getting back to being your fabulous self, feeling at ease, confident, radiant and much more zen.
