Program

The Offline Forum is a monthly gathering at The Yoga Factory that provides a space for knowledge seekers to connect and discuss important topics of today.

Consider this the modern-day book club. The theme and materials are shared in advance, making use of diverse and accessible mediums, such as podcasts, videos, articles and essays, to provoke dialogue.

This is time to engage our brains, to think, and to hear what other people have to say.

****

In our first ever gathering we will be exploring the role of social media in everyday life.

As more of our time is spent in the digital world, let’s come together to discuss this phenomenon.

  • How do you feel about social media?

  • How has it positively or negatively impacted your life?

By sharing our experiences within a supportive environment we can gain clarity and take actions to ensure social media works for us and not against us.

“Humans are tool builders and we build tools that can dramatically amplify our innate human abilities” Steve Jobs

Why this matters?

  1. Reading and discussing ideas help make use more conscious and strengthen us

  2. If you take the time to understand, to empathise, to ask questions, to listen to what other people have to say - then you will be rewarded you

  3. This won’t be restricted like a book club where you only read books. We will engage in relevant podcasts, news articles, videos, poetry to give a more diverse experience

  4. Provide us with a supportive community to share views

Prepare for your Class

No need to bring any equipment, we have mats and props for you to use here at the studio.  Just bring yourself and wear loose/flexible clothing.  Yoga is better practiced in bare feet but if you prefer to wear socks, the non slip kind are ideal.

Please arrive 10 minutes before the workshop starts so that we can show you around and complete a short contact form.
