This Yin yoga workshop will explore different ways of working within a Yin pose to help cultivate a sense of presence, and explore being with the moment. Lighting a fire of curiosity.
Focusing on the various energy lines (meridians) that run through the connective tissue of the body. These tissues are nourished during a Yin practice by holding shapes for time. Pressurising and pulling on these tissues which pertain to certain organs. Includes a short pranayama practice and a 20 minute guided meditation. Working with various mindfulness practices.

Yin Yoga helps to increase agility, flexibility and mobility in our body, within its natural range of motion by holding shapes for time nourishing the more yin tissues of the body (joints & ligaments).

Props available to support your practice. Suitable for all levels apart from complete beginners to yoga.

About Verity

I am the founder of Conscious Yoga and I have been teaching for almost 10 years. Through the insights I have gained from my practices of Yoga and Buddhism interwoven with meditation, mantra and conscious breath-work, I have developed an integrated practice that enlivens and heals the body, heart and mind.

My methods are based on core Yin/Yang practices that enhances the meridians and organ systems which can balance and stimulate the energy in the body. Movement between Yin and Yang styles of yoga are essential elements for grounding and strengthening and reflects the reality of our lives.  I use Asanas, breath-work, meditations and mantras that I change and adapt to reflect the seasons we are in and how they impact on us emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually.

Nowadays I like to refer to myself as more of a facilitator rather than a teacher.  My passions lie in supporting you to gain to access to your inner guide my teachings work to address establishing much deeper body connections though mindful Strengthening and balancing practice   (yang style) and the deeper more intuitive  (yin practices) of holding the body still and deepening   into the subtle energy systems   and deeper tissues deepening our  sensory felt perception.
