Yoga Surf

Fancy trying SUP Yoga or surfing without the fear of falling in the water? 




Then come to Yoga Surf with Jeremy, a new class that involves yoga on a low level balance board. First of all it's great FUN, it will give your practice a more playful approach including yoga and board riding moves. Secondly it's awesome to improve your balance and core stability and make those stabilizer muscles light up. Thirdly, anyone can do it. If you wobble too much you just step off without the splash and the wipeout.

Spaces are limited so please book as this is brand new to Essex and The Yoga Factory. If your into yoga, into any board riding - surfing, Stand UP Paddleboarding, snowboarding or skateboarding or even if you've never stepped onto a board before, it's time to experience a slice of that board riding stoke & chill! It's totally rad DUDE.

Prepare for your workshop

No need to bring any equipment.  Just bring yourself and wear loose/flexible clothing.  Yoga is better practiced in bare feet but if you prefer to wear socks, the non slip kind are ideal.

Please arrive 10 minutes before the workshop starts so that we can show you around and complete a short contact form.


Who's  Jeremy?

I’m not what some people think of as a Yogi or a person who does yoga. I am a 47 year old dad of two, tall, gangly and I don’t have long hair and I’m not vegetarian. But I love Yoga.

I first had a go at it in the late 1990’s as a way to stretch due to the physical job I had. I enjoyed it, I felt stretched and relaxed and I always seemed to come back to it over the next few years especially while I was coaching football. I’ve always enjoyed sports, from martial arts to team sports, though I particularly love board riding sports including surfing, stand up paddleboarding (SUP) and skateboarding but it wasn’t until I discovered dynamic yoga or vinyasa flow yoga that I really found out what a total body workout yoga can be, strength and flexibility. Find out more here


You may cancel a workshop/event/course up to 5 days before class. If you early cancel, you get a full refund.

Cancelling a workshop/event/course within 5 days or failing to attend a booked workshop/event/course is non-refundable. You may pass a booking onto a friend at no extra cost, however we must be notified of the change by email if a friend will attend in your place.
